Have you ever considered starting a gratitude journal? These journals can be effective  tools for changing your mindset, allowing you to focus more intently on the positive  aspects of your life. By becoming more aware and focused on the positives, you can  improve your overall mental and physical health, promote better sleep, enhance
relationships and self-esteem. Make this a daily habit and watch the profound impact it will have on your life.

Tips for a successful blog...

  • Focus on the Great Things, Big or Small: Each day is filled with moments to be grateful for. Don't overlook the small things while searching for the big ones.
  • Be Consistent: Practice gratitude daily. You don't need to write a novel; keep it simple and meaningful.
  • Bring in the Details: When writing, include details to help you remember the moment you are grateful for.
  • Got Writer's Block?: That's okay. Keep a list of questions handy, such as "What did I do today for someone else?" or "Did someone do something nice for me today?" This will help you get started.

I am thankful for the knowledge I've gained, particularly in using PowerPoint to create my own clipart, wallpapers, and classroom supplies. This skill allows me to pursue my passion while saving time and money in my future career as an educator.

Today I am thankful for the wonderful memories I have with my beautiful mother, she past away expectedly but unexpectedly on September 19th, 2024. She was my rock and my biggest supporter. When the going got tough and I felt like I was ready to give up, she was right there to remind me of how far I have come. She always new what to say and what not to say when I needed it the most. I will miss her, but know she is watching over me and continuing to support me each and every day.

Each day brings something to be thankful for, whether big or small. Today, I'm thankful my cat, Lizzy, didn't bite me! Funny, right? Lizzy is a territorial cat and has claimed my pillow as her own since day one. Normally, if I move or try to take the pillow, she bites hard, leaving teeth marks. I'm happy to report I survived the night without a bite! Hope this made you laugh today!

Today, I am grateful for my college professors who have been understanding, kind, and patient. While pursuing my Elementary Education degree, I have faced numerous challenges that have often required me to put school on hold, adding stress compounded by homework and deadlines. This semester has been particularly difficult, with my daughter's medical issues and hospitalization, followed by the unexpected death of my mother. I fell behind, missed deadlines, and was on the verge of giving up. However, my professors offered me grace and support, and today I am caught up and thriving once again.

I am thankful, grateful, and blessed to have amazing friends who are kind, loving, accepting, and always there for me. My friend Robyn is no exception. She keeps life fun and makes us laugh until our bellies hurt while I tend to be the serious one. I love her with all my heart and just hope that I am as good a friend to her as she is to me.

Today I am grateful for my Girl Scout Family! Tonight we embarked on our 4th year of running the community Fright Night event. We had an amazing turnout and are already looking forward to next year!

Hello, I’m Carla. I have 11 wonderful children: Morningstar, Marcus, Kayla, Cody, Dominick, Kali, Kateri, Jonah, Tyray, Terrance, and Shyree, and one delightful grandson, Elliot. I cherish spending quality time with family and friends, as well as enjoying occasional moments of serenity alone. I'm an avid Girl Scout volunteer of 22 years and  currently manage our local service unit. I’m in my third year of college, pursuing a degree in elementary education after initially starting in the field of social work. As an  older than average student returning to school after 21 years as a home childcare provider, I find it difficult to keep up at times. I know my hard work and dedication will one day pay off and I look forward to inspiring others to also pursue their dreams. I often find myself telling others, "If I can do this you can do this." I know one day my hard work and determination will pay off.
